Kristine Diekman’s presentation did come off as unorganized, but it was entertaining, and interestingly eye-opening. It seems that a lot of her work revolves around video production and struggles of different groups. It was an arrow to the heart when she showed us the videos about young Latina’s and Latino’s facing the consequences of teen pregnancy because of the misinformation and parenting of sex education. It is a shame that many of the young teens had to face the challenges teen pregnancy because they were misguided and warded off by their parents. Overall, I think it is great that her presentation shows the reality of struggling teens and others in the community in order to create a sense of connection with everyone. Her work also allows students to create a lot of contribution and creativity on their own which is impressive within itself.
